START (Students Taking Augmented Reality Tours) is a mobile application that provides immersive college tours. Its 3D map displays your current location and indicates notable campus landmarks. Utilizing an augmented reality approach, users visiting these landmarks will view live-action videos, collect items, earn badges, and learn more about college life.
START improves prospective students' campus tour experience by providing a more customized experience than scheduled tours. Many colleges can only provide limited opportunities for scheduled tours, and most tours do not cover every location on campus due to time constraints. Recognizing these limitations, START provides universities with another option to get students familiar with their campus.

I was START's primary instructional game designer. I helped define the application features and tour format. I wrote or supervised the writing of each tour, working directly with university staff to ensure that content was accurate and approved by the necessary stakeholders. I captured and edited photographs and 360-degree images for use in the tour. I directed talent in the creation of the tour videos and implemented the completed tour packages in the application.
